What is Health Alliance?
Health Alliance is a combination of three Nevada PPO
Networks and one National Discount Network.
What networks participate in Health Alliance?
In Nevada, Horizon Health Network, MCC (Alternet)
Network and in northern Nevada, Hometown Health Network.
What is the advantage to the Employer for using
Health Alliance?
The Employer gets the benefit of utilizing the most
competetive reimbursements rates available for the Health Alliance
participating networks.
What is the advantage of the Employee?
By Selecting Health Alliance, the Employee can access
any participating network provider in the most comprehensive network
in Nevada.
Do I have to sign multiple contracts to access
the Health Alliance?
No. One contract, one fee provides access
to all three networks. The national network is percent of savings
based.
Why hasn't this been available before?
The competetive climate in Nevada has only recently
been open to this "next step" managed care system.
Who uses Health Alliance?
All new MCC and Horizon business will be offered Health
Alliance. MCC existing business is considering Health Alliance this
year.
What are the advantages for Third Party Administrators
and Self Payors?
There are several. The Employer gets the most competetive
reimbursement rates to help hold down costs. The Employer has access
to three Nevada networks instead of one. Health Alliance can electronically
reprice and download electronic claims to TPAs and Self Payors in
a format which allows them to auto adjudicate claims without having
to handle the paper claims. This vastly improves efficiency and quality
and significantly reduces the cost of claims administration. This
TPA/Payor service is called "HANDS FREE".

Why wait until now to introduce Health Alliance?
Managed Care is in a state of evolution. Market trends,
competetive influences, government mandates (HIPAA) and the demand
for broader access and lower cost from the Health Care Consumer has
brought about the need to provide the Health Alliance Network and
the "HANDS FREE" system. Health Alliance brings a broad
expansive delivery system to the members and a simple, effective and
cost efficient way to adjudicate the volumes of paper work created
by health care plans.
Can anyone access the Health Alliance Network?
Health Alliance is a group based product. If your
health insurance plan uses Health Alliance, all members can access
Health Alliance.
